In recogniton of National Wear Red Day, celebrated on Feb. 5, Education staffers at the St. Croix Administrative Offices in Christiansted donned red to bring awareness to women's health issues surrounding heart disease and stroke. The observance was coordinated by Lorraine Benjamin-Matthew, District Director of School Community Relations.
According to the goredforwomen.org website, heart disease and stroke kills 1 in 3 women every year.
